In the world we live in, it can seem almost impossible to just stop a little. We get carried with the current - the pace and speed of the energy around us - and sometimes we feel that we are not allowed to slow or stop. Might we miss something? What if we get left behind? 
There are different speeds in the world. This becomes quite marked when you take a walk in a woodland, on the beach or in a place of unspoiled nature. The pace appears slower, time moves differently somehow.
 
During the first lockdown of the pandemic in 2020, above the induced fear and restriction of personal liberties, you could almost hear a collective sigh of relief that we were no longer expected to move at the pace dictated to us. There was a slowing. We saw, felt, heard, smelled and tasted the world a little more. This essence can help us remember that we are human and it works well with another essence, Rat Race, in encouraging us to look up and smell the roses.
 
I feel this essence reflects a masculine energy, that of the protective, loving and mentoring aspect, and its spirit reminds me of my own Grandfather. Solid but gentle. Listening, watching and taking everything in without judgement. He was an unshakeable presence and an anchor in stormy seas. A wise, stoic and loving soul. He taught respect, love, capability, confidence and humour through actions, not words.
 
The Deity aligned with Just Be is the altar anchor or axis mundi, the grounding 'pole' on your altar that helps you stay anchored while viewing and visiting other realities and experiencing different perspectives. This essence works well with Psychic Traveller and Sweet Surrender for meditative, spiritual and shamanic journeying practices.
